At the ZTE 5G Summit and User Congress 2024 in Istanbul, The Register spoke with Mr. James Zhang, ZTE’s Senior Vice President and President of MultiTelecom Operator Business Group & International Marketing, on growth in 5G and the ICT industry. Amid the global progress of 5G commercialization, ZTE has strategically readied solutions and strategies for every stage of a 5G rollout, be it getting started or leaping to 5G-A.

ZTE’s overarching focus is to help operators maximize 5G networks’ value and drive revenue growth via key applications like Fixed Wireless Access and Private 5G for enterprises. At the same time, the company is creating new consumer experience with an "AI for All" strategy that taps on AI-empowered features like image processing, voice recognition and smart assistants. Underpinning these initiatives is ZTE’s capabilities as a “connectivity + computing power” company for meeting growing demand for computing power and driving the ICT industry’s growth.
