AI Sweden is the national center for applied AI and, with offices nationwide and in Montreal, its mission is to accelerate the use of AI in Sweden.

Working with Intel and a number of public sector partners, AI Sweden is coordinating a collaborative initiative to create a prototype for a national AI-solution for the whole public sector. In a public healthcare setting, for example, the digital assistant might help staff by reducing the time spent searching for and retrieving information and allowing more time for hands on patient care and interpersonal work.

AI Sweden’s prototype utilizes on-site servers equipped with Intel® Xeon® processors and Intel® Gaudi® 2 accelerators and a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture that pulls information from the organization's internal documents to make the digital assistant’s responses more accurate and helpful.

AI Sweden’s experience building and testing the prototype system can serve as an inspiration for other countries wishing to implement a similar solution.
