The year 1996 was a time of stunning technological innovation. Dolly the sheep was cloned. eBay made its first sale. Tickle Me Elmo spoke his first words.
And, of course, Microsoft introduced the PST file for Outlook.
Over a quarter of a century our PSTs swelled, ballooned, and in some cases sat there, no longer needed, but still containing gigabytes of valuable information, risking data loss, hidden costs, and e-discovery chaos. It would be much better if you could just import all the data to Microsoft 365 -- but of course, it’s never that simple.
So that’s why you need to join Quadrotech’s Mike Weaver, who does this sort of thing all the time. He tells The Reg’s Tim Phillips about:
- The risks and problems of your PST files
- Which free and paid tools are right for you
- A workflow to eradicate PSTs
